Bengaluru, 17 October 2024: As part of their ‘For the Planet’ campaign, BFC boosted their efforts toward sustainability by joining hands with Neo San, world pioneers in decentralized waste management. In addition to River, the club’s official electric vehicle (EV) partner and Hasiru Dala, the Green Force of waste pickers, Neo San’s high efficiency incinerators will be implemented across match days to achieve BFC’s goal of zero-waste-to-landfill.

These machines are designed to decrease 98% of carbon emissions from the process of waste management will further enhance the interactive consumer experiences aimed at combining the excitement of football with sustainable waste solutions at the Kanteerava Stadium.

“At Bengaluru FC, we recognize the role we play in the community and the need for us to adopt sustainability practices across all facets of the club. Our goal is to work towards achieving net zero emissions. We took the first step last season by collaborating with Hasiru Dala to ensure total waste management for all our matchdays at the Kanteerava Stadium. This season, we’re partnering with Neo San that specializes in creating sustainable waste management solutions using advanced technology and they have been on the forefront of eco-friendly waste handling. Through this partnership, we aim to be a club which is not just a football champion but also champions sustainability.,” said Divyanshu Singh, Chief Operating Officer of JSW Sports.

Conceived in 2017, Neo San operates across the country as a category-leading at-source waste management system that not only reduces overall waste output but also removes the need for any transportation and logistics for waste management. Built on Neo San’s patented technology – Neo-X, an ultra-efficient compact incinerator designed to safely dispose of non-recyclable waste right at the source, will be placed at multiple accessible locations across the stadium.

Mr. Dhwaj Bagrecha, Co-founder and CEO, Neo San also shared his thoughts saying, “We, at Neo San, have a dream of creating a world free of burning dumps, landfills and open, unattended garbage.
