Spain kept on their dominant unbeaten streak in the Euro 2024 group stage. Spain’s stellar 1-0 victory over Labanian secured their spot in the Round of 16 stage. The win ensures Spain finishes their group on the top winning all three games.
In the game against Albania, Spain made a total of ten changes to their tea tactics and formation compared to their previous match against Italy. The changes showcased as they highlighted dominance and strong intent from the beginning of the game. Early in the game, Dani Olmo scored the opening goal of the game in the 13th minute. With his profound playmaking skills assisted with a precise pass from Ferran Torres from the left wing, Olmo found the back of the net. Olmo made no mistake with a grounded shot in the bottom left corner, providing Spain an early lead.
Spain withheld possession throughout the first half, passing the ball around and securing their lead confidently. Dani Olmo even attempted a long shot from a range but it was missed. However, Albaninin struggled to find their rhythm. Although they had their moments in the game and came close to equalizing before halftime. Kristjan Asllani shot a powerful shot from the edge of the box but David Raya saved it with an amazing dive.

As the second half began, Albanian pushed for an equalizer, In the 64th minute Albania’s Armando Broja attempted to score from inside the box only for Raya to block another goal. In the dying moment of the game, Albanian almost had a goal for an equalizer. During the stoppage time, a free kick from the left fell into Broja’s feet.
His shot on target was again knocked off as David Raya pulled off a spectacular save to keep Spain’s clean sheet intact. Although the clash, David Raya’s stellar saves stole the show. Till the final whistle, Spain held their 1-0 lead to have a perfect closure to their Euro 2024 group stage run. Spain is now heading to the knockout stage with sheer confidence and determination.
